Milton is a small community located in the heart of Southern Ontario, only minutes from winding scenic trails and fantastic winter skiing. Milton has become one of the fastest growing communities in Southern Ontario.

First settled by Jasper Martin and his wife Sarah, immigrants from Newcastle England in 1822, the area was largely marshland and heavy forest with the Sixteen Mile creek flowing naturally through the centre of what is now Milton. Jasper dammed the creek creating an artificial mill pond.

In the early years the mill became the center of settlement in Milton. Newcomers to the area naturally settled in this small hamlet that became known as Martin's Mills.

As the town grew it soon became known as Mill Town, and later Milton
